A Magazine for Sheffield

Issue 77 August 2014

Another exclusive online magazine for you this month before we return to print in September. I recommend you read our interviews with punk poet John Cooper Clarke and jazz pianist Kit Downes, as well as our feature on Pub Scrawl, which returns to ten pub across the city on 31 August, showcasing the work of ten local artists. We’ve also got a host of Tramlines reviews for you in the Live section.

Featured artwork comes from local line wizard Rob Lee, whose precise, design-inspired murals you may have spotted popping up around town.

We are currently busy working on various projects which are coming to fruition soon. The most exciting is the Now Then Discounts App, which is due for release on Android and Apple devices next month. The idea is simple – you download the app, browse our list of over 100 local independent businesses, explore their offers and discounts, and show a device running the app to redeem them at the counter. There is also an interactive map to help you locate participating businesses. Get the lowdown here.

While you read, while not soak up the surprisingly summery vibes of this month’s mix, courtesy of the Now Then DJs?
