Beer Soda Bread
Easy bread that goes well with cheese and beer.
-
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Sieve the plain flour into a bowl and add bicarbonate of soda and salt. Mix well then stir through the flour and honey.
-
Pour in the beer and milk and mix with your hands to form a dough. Tip the dough onto a lightly-floured baking tray, shape into a round and cut a cross into the top of the loaf. Dust with flour.
-
Bake for 30-40 minutes. When it's ready, the base should sound hollow when tapped. If you can, leave the bread to cool before slicing. It goes well with cheese and beer - of course.
