Perrin Goose Press

Luxury letterpress celebrates its first birthday with launch of new website - and looks to the future.

I was initially introduced to Josh and Beth, the nice folks behind Perrin Goose Press, when they got in touch to invite me to their first birthday party. Never one to decline a party invite, I went along and was greeted with a warm welcome and the opportunity to hear a little bit about their venture, which was brought to life during lockdown. Keen to know more, I sat down with them for a natter.

Hi both. First things first, can you tell us a bit about how Perrin Goose got started?

Perrin Goose Press started when Beth’s great aunt passed away. She always encouraged creativity so we bought ourselves a printing press and that’s where our story began. We love to give really personal gifts ourselves, so we thought, let’s do it!

You’ve recently celebrated Perrin Goose’s first birthday. What have been your favourite moments during the past year?

It’s got to be the launch of our mini people bags. They’ve flown out and we’ve loved hearing people’s stories about who their gift is for, and all the beautiful and unusual names we’ve come across through orders.

Your beautiful new website went live this month. How did it feel to see the culmination of all your hard work?

Oh, it’s just wonderful to see it come to life. That people want to order and treat their loved ones with our goods - we are so thankful. It’s great to see all of our collection together in one place and we feel proud of this little independent that started in lockdown.

It feels like there’s something for everyone in your range of leather and leather-blend goods. Can you tell us more about what’s on offer and how the monogramming press works?

Of course, we hope we have something for everyone. We sell everything from leather wallets and keyrings, to imitation leather journals, glasses cases, mini people bags and coin purses.

The press works with hot foil monogramming. This means the leather or material is debossed with whatever lettering we load into the press, and on some products you can also choose to foil them. There’ve definitely been a few burnt fingers along the way!

What’s on the horizon for you in the coming months?

We really hope that people look to order through our website. We will have some Christmas offers on and there’s always free shipping with any order over £30. For the winter, we are hoping to launch our Mini Me range which will include matching bags. We can’t wait to show you all.
