About Us

We are a Sheffield mental health charity rooted in our community. We support people to use their skills, ideas and talent to build the lives they want. On our website, local people share their mental health stories, reminding Sheffielders that we are not alone. If you have something to share, we’d love to hear your story.

We also run the Sheffield Mental Health Guide, a directory where you can search for support services in Sheffield. Alongside this is My Toolkit, where you can create your own space to support your mental health and wellbeing, using resources from the Sheffield Mental Health Guide. Our newest website is Sheffield Suicide Support, which lists all the local support services for people experiencing suicidal thoughts or feelings.

Within the city, we support six community enterprises who run regular sessions which are open to everyone:

- Brunsmeer Awareness FC – a mental health friendly football team
- CAST – a creative arts group who run art and creative writing groups, and open mic nights
- Connected Worlds – an art-based project which runs courses designed to build communities and solidarity
- Flippin Mental Theatre - a community enterprise working to develop theatre activities and productions around the theme of mental health
- Oasis – a gardening and vegetable growing enterprise
- Open Door Music – a music group for people to learn and develop their skills and interests

We’ve also teamed up with the FA on the Sheffield and Hallamshire Flourish football League.
