January Funnies: Leadmill Comedy Club in 2023

The popular event series kicks off the new year with a bang on Wednesday 4 January, with sets from Mick Ferry, Jack Gleadow and Jonny Pelham, and compering from Hayley Ellis.

Comedy Club Line Up January 2023

Having recently celebrated its tenth anniversary, the Leadmill’s much-loved comedy night returns in January to help us fend off the post-Christmas blues. Comedians Mick Ferry, Jack Gleadow and Jonny Pelham will be taking to the stage, with the brilliantly funny Hayley Ellis on MC duties.

The night’s performers have a heady mix of accolades and appearances between them. The Manchester-based Mick Ferry is an Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner described as a “fine purveyor of lugubrious surrealism”. Hull local Jack Gleadow won the Leicester Mercury Comedian of The Year award in 2018, bringing a “one-man stand-up variety show with the use of sounds, stories, jokes and a scooter”. And award-winning comic Jonny Pelham has done stints on Live at the Apollo, Mock The Week, and Russell Howard’s Stand-up Central.

As usual there’ll be tasty street food available all night so you can ensure that your belly laughs are full. Advance unreserved seating tickets are £7 (or £5 NUS) and tables for up to four people are £32.

If comedy is your bag then the Leadmill has an incredible line-up of touring comedians for 2023, including Rosie Holt, Tim Key, Munya Chuwawa and more.
