This Sunday, the Burton Street Foundation gets the festive season off to a jolly enjoyable start with their annual Christmas Market. From 11am-4pm, head over to their Hillsborough venue to enjoy craft stalls, music, Christmas-themed activities and festive food.

2019 marks Burton Street's 10th Christmas Market and they hope it will be the biggest and best yet, with the aim of raising money for the charity and supporting the community they serve.

The charity specialises in services for children and adults with learning disabilities, working with around 250 clients each week. 14 local businesses are based at Burton Street, and around 35 charities and community groups use the facilities weekly.

Managing Director Clare Mappin said, "With it being our 10th year we are going all out, with more performances, more to see and more to buy so you can kick off the festive season with a bang."

Burton Street's welcoming bar will be serving drinks throughout the day and their café will be fully loaded with freshly prepared turkey and stuffing sandwiches.

Smaller visitors can enjoy saying hello to Santa and getting creative in the festive photo booth. There will also be a dedicated kids' space screening festive films with face painting and other activities.

Musical performances throughout the day will come from Stannington Brass Band, the local school choir, Sacred Heart, and guitar group The Paint Shop Boys. Enjoy!

The Christmas Market will take place on Sunday 17 November from 11am-4pm at the Burton Street Foundation, 57 Burton Street, S6 2HH.
