Kate Flannery

Kate Flannery is Secretary of the Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign (OTJC), ex Women Against Pit Closures and one of the founders of the Friends of Edward Carpenter. She has also been an activist in socialist feminist, anti racist and LGBTQ+ political and community organisations and campaigns. Kate has many years' experience of working in the public sector, voluntary sector and Trade Union movement. She also has extensive experience of speech writing, public speaking and dealing with the media including writing various journal and newspaper reports, letters, articles, media releases and organising and speaking in media interviews. She has been responsible for initiating and organising many equality, political, historical, arts and public awareness campaigns exhibitions and events.
