It would have been the nation's ninth favourite month if it wasn't for the saving grace that is Pancake Day. Although where we come from everyday is not only Pancake Day, but Pancakes Covered In Chocolate, Sugar, Melted Lard & Beef Day. Anyway, enough waffle. Here's some information about some events you should attend this month. THIRTY THR33 ESCAPE FROM THE CELLAR. 1^st FEBRUARY / EYRE LANE STUDIOS / £3. If you've partied hard (and we mean real hard) in Sheffield in the last three years, chances are you've stumbled upon the basement of unadulterated hedonism that was 33 Wilkinson Street. Their venture into clubland will undoubtedly be massive. Link OPUS ACOUSTICS. 7^th FEBRUARY / LANTERN THEATRE / £6. Brand new year, brand new venue. Opus Acoustics sets up residency in the leafy streets of Nether Edge, with The Lost Brothers & Neil McSweeney kicking off an incredibly strong run of guests for the collective. New venture from the All Over It Records crew; House's man of the moment (no, not Hugh Laurie) Hot Since 82 provides the headline whilst the De:Bug, Ryad and AOI residents provide the support. Bob Marley would have been 67 years old this year, but his messages of peace and unity are still as relevant today as they were when he passed. Roots, Riddimtion and Unitone are bringing together three generations of sound system history to celebrate the occasion. Link STOP THE WEDDING. 13^th - 16^th FEBRUARY / THE WASHINGTON / FREE.
