Editorial

This month we have the pleasure of presenting the art of Bridget Riley, who tessellating designs have shaped the way many artists have approached their work since the 1960s.

Below our selection of her pieces, words are lined up on the subjects of the EU referendum, the Northern Powerhouse, grassroots engagement and a social photography project.

We fired questions at the likes to Bibio, Mmoths and Steve Bell, and fired musical critiques at Cosmosis, Extra Love and Blossoms.

There are short stories and poetry across Word Life, while Doctor Magiot also returns with an abstract satirical tale. Nathan McIlroy reviews Bad Jews in Stage, and Filmreel covers Ben Wheatley’s High-Rise.

More to follow next month, so keep ’em peeled.
