QUEER CONTACT
5-15 February | Various times | Contact Theatre | £Various

With Queer Contact you know – you can guarantee, in fact – that you’re going to get to see something different, thought-provoking and challenging. Whether that be the full-frontal Sister (the story of two real-life sisters Rosana and Amy who perform a work about their lives…naked), the cabaret fun of Mother’s Ruin or the glam of the Vogue Ball, you really can’t go wrong.

WOULD YOU CHANGE?
9-10 February | 7.30pm | Kings Arms | £6

Winner of the best new writing prize at Manchester Fringe 2014, this piece asks four of history’s most famous LGBT figures, ‘Would you change?’ Interesting idea, well worth checking out if you missed it the first time around.

STEWART LEE – A ROOM WITH A STEW
13-14 February | 8.00pm | The Lowry | £22
Lee’s transformation from struggling outsider to success story has been pretty impressive. But what is more impressive is that he has done it without changing his act. As abrasive, wilfully annoying and clever as ever, this is a great chance to see the comedy art form at its best. Oh, and it will be funny too, I should think.

STIRRED
23 February | 7.00pm | 3MT | £Donations
Five years since this feminist poetry collective began, featuring some of the best spoken word spouters that Manchester has to offer. Combining established artists like Keisha Thompson, Camille Ralphs and AJ McKenna with a host of open mic-ers, this is a good way to see a ton of talent all on one night.
